The Circus

Yesterday, I went alone to see a Circus. There was a great rush. I purchased a ticket after standing in a long queue. The ticket was a bitter pill to pay. A humungous tent was set up on the ground. It was brightly illuminated by hundreds of multi-coloured bulbs.

People started to cheer as the talking monkey announced the start of the programme.  I could listen a tiger roaring and I was excited to see what would happen with the tiger. The tiger ran at the speed of light and entered through the ring by jumping and then moving in a circular motion. The tiger could successfully pass through the ring which was lit on fire. I was thrilled with that sight. I enjoyed it. It was an exceptionally unfathomable performance by the tiger. Then a young girl performed on a unicycle. She did cycling on a rope which was attached to both the poles. Even the animal with the longest neck, which is the giraffe, was moving through its four legs on the rope. It was just impossible for that giraffe to control his centre of mass.

Children clapped their hands with joy. Everyone watched the show by enjoying themselves and cheered loudly. The stage was surrounded by oval structure sitting arrangements.

The next show was done by the king of the jungle – The Lion. The lion did marvellous exercises by swinging, exchange of swings and walking, just like a monkey. Even the leopards followed the lion and did the same. While this was happening, the monkeys were playing some sorts of music by various instruments. Listening to the music cheered the peacock to dance.

The show was just amazing that people cheered looking at the show. People were taking photos and videos, while others were enjoying by looking at it and having some sort of snacks and drinks.

Some monkeys were riding a horse which jumped 10 feet high. It was an exceptionally well performance as everyone was trained. There were elephants who rotated wood in a circular motion continuously which greeted the wind like a fan.

There was also a bear, who was busy in juggling with 10 balls using its hands as well as legs.

It was a thrilling show. The show came to an end in the evening. The closing ceremony speech by the parrot was in English. The parrot thanked everyone and people cheered looking at it.

It was a happy evening but I was sad as the show was all over. Still, the memories of the scenes were still fresh in my mind because it was just a show of impossible things into possible. This is what makes a circus enjoyable for us.
